At MaxQ we have been involve in creating Curriculum for various Clients Ranging from supermarkets all the way to poly-techs. ad a result we are also involved in creating online learning solutions for some of our clients. Below is an example of a functional language site we built to enable users to teach them self Chinese.
This site enables the client to create lessons with bite-sized Audio to help the learner with pronunciation and emphasis. It is also incorporating a WordPress LMS (Learning Management System) To enable the creation of content paths and provide assignments and automated quizzes to aid the user in completing the course.
A booking system helped the student schedule time with a Tutor should it needed. this was additional to the course and can be paid on a per-use basis.

ChinaBites Learning Management System
Background
A tertiary institution in New Zealand wanted to provide online Chinese language courses, offering bite-sized learning opportunities for busy people during on vacation or business trips.
Project scope: MaxQ was contracted to create the online solution to enable the sale of these courses. Our tasks included:
- Creation of online platform with student portal (membership)
- Assessment tools (test and quiz functions) to enable student assessments
- Online calendar & booking system
- Bespoke interface to the institution’s payment gateway
It was a privilege to work on this project, because it aligns with our belief that technology can support the mobile student.
